FCV-1150 NMEA Output

I am trying to output NMEA from my FCV-1150 to my PC.

I have tried connected Tx_A and Tx_B to my expander and also a rs-422 to rs232 converter. I have also checked voltage on the data lines and I am not seeing anything. MY expander has an LED indicator when it sees incoming data and it does not light up when connected to the FCV-1150. I have confirmed my NMEA Output is On and set to In/Out

Not sure if this helps but I had to set my NMEA output to version 3.0 to get it to work on my Actisense unit connected to my PC. This is from the installation manual.
NMEA0183: Choose NMEA0183 version of navigation equipment connected to the NMEA port,
among Ver. 1.5, Ver. 2.0 or Ver. 3.0. "SPECIAL" is for use with a navigator whose baud rate is
600 bps.
