ETR6/10 software update?

I have purchased from another boater an older ETR6/10 (BBF1). I will install it into my existing NN3D system. Did these older fishfinders ever need a software update? If so should I take it to my local Furuno dealer to have this done before I install the ETR 6/10?

There is only one version of software that I am aware of for the BBFF1 (v 02523-06-003).
You should be good to add it to your NN3D system. Please ensure you check the 600w/1kw jumper is correct before connecting your transducer. (Please also note: the BBFF1 analog network sounder will work on the NN1, Vx2, and NN3D system, but not with the new TZtouch)
