DRS6 NXT installation

On the below pictures are any of the red circled areas supposed to be sealed with silicone? The gearbox where it mounts to the boat has some spacing that I’m not sure should be caulked or not? Also the various bolts, should those be covered in silicone sealant?

The newer gearbox has arched areas at the bottom for venting and we do not recommend those be sealed. You don't want to trap moisture. We also don't recommend the service access panel be sealed on the outside. The access panel has an internal seal and the bolts should have plastic washers preventing metal to metal contact. We normally don't seal that to allow for easy access.

The only part from the photo of concern to me is the array. The array doesn't appear to be properly installed. When the proper sealant is used on the array, you should visibly see the bead of sealant "squished" out from where the array meets the gearbox. The four bolts holding the array on should normally covered over with sealant or at least between the bolt head the the array, to seal that tight. If the array isn't properly sealed, water can get into the array and cause problems with the radar returns and later get into the waveguide of the RTR (really expensive mistake).

So you are saying silicone should be installed in the highlighted areas? What kind of sealant?

I looked up 3bond and there are several products available. Do you have the exact 3bond sealant number I should use?
