I have a boat with a drs12ax that has a failed magnetron,
Replaced under warranty and now after 2 months has a no radar error, the power
Board has water corrosion on it, I’ve disassembles the array and found the seal is damaged witch I think is the issue but I was told the seal was damaged with the disassembly. Is it time for a different brand of radar? Getting frustrated

If water is getting in the gearbox, it was most likely install incorrectly. Water intrusion is not covered by warranty. Most common is failure of the installer to seal the array and array bolts correctly. If you look at the bolts and they don't have sealant completely covering them; it's wrong. Sealant should be pushed out all around where the array meets the gearbox. When not sealed correctly all kinds of bad things happen inside the gearbox because water and electronics don't mix.
