Dear All,
I am a technichian in Italy.
www.exsat.com
We have a DRS6A transceiver in our workshop that have poor performance in range.
The magnetron was replaced recently by other company and now have 320h only.
The boat is now experiencing very low range performance.
From the RADAR status page all is ok but Magnetron voltage at 2,8V !
Checking the RTR at our workshop on a dummy load for X band RADAR up to 25Kw
and spilling out the DIRect RF from a wave guide coupler with -20dB and other attenuators to a total of -80dB
the reading on our spectrum analizer is -38dBm, so -38dBm + 80dB = +38dBm !!
It can be the MIC too but since the strange readings and 2,8V indicated to the magnetron I am not sure what can be exactly the problem.
The real voltage to magnetron filament, NOT under trasmission !, is 6.32Vdc
That voltage should be read from 03P9455-2 as far as I know.
Can anyone help ?
Thanks
BR
