Depth Shading - map choice

Is there any way to make the depth shading use the vector fishing chart / bathy chart instead of the normal vector chart by noaa?

I purchased the bathy fishing chart by cmap, but i've noticed that even when switching over to it, the depth shading is not using that chart.

No, the depth shading is a layer feature you can turn on/off regardless of chart type. It is not directly associated with the normal charts, fishing charts, or new DFF3D PBG data.

I suppose my next question is what chart does it reference for the depth shading, and how do i make sure that is updated?

It is a file normally placed under the FUSA chart card file folder named "3D". It will have TIN in the file name. It can be downloaded from Map media with the other base map. https://mytimezero.com/charts-catalog/mm3d-world-maps
