Camera specs

I recently purchased a boat which included a 2012 vintage MFDBB and MFD12. The one included camera is not working (connected via coaxial cable to MFDBB). I prefer to install 4 POE IP cameras. Can anyone please share the specs on cameras that will work with this unit?

The NN3D had very limited motion JPEG axis cameras that could be used which are no longer sold. With software update the MFD12 can support some of the newer H264 model but the older MFDBBs could not. I recommend getting the serial number of the MFDBB and talking to support directly. If you have the older MFDBB, the the IP possibilities are pretty much nill at this point in time.

The MFDBB serial # is 4350-2755 running software 1950064-2.11. The MFD12 serial is 43684340.

Are these the newer versions which will support H264? Thanks

Sorry to say that MFDBB is an older type called a Kontron and it will not support H264.

For the MFD12 you could run an Axis camera that uses H264 that allows you to adjust the settings of the camera down matching the compression, frame rate and resolution shown in the back of the NN3D installation guide.
