Bottom Discrimination with Transducer 165T-50/200-SS260 DFF3D 50/200 Stainless Combination THRU-HULL?

Hi everyone,

I have a NavNet TZtouch XL 10x and a 165T-50/200-SS260 DFF3D 50/200 Stainless Combination Thru-Hull transducer.
I’d like to know which sounder module I should select or configure to get the best performance from this transduce

I’ve also read that this transducer supports Accu-Fish and Bottom Discrimination, but I’ve seen some fishermen mention that the bottom discrimination results aren’t very reliable or accurate, and that to get proper bottom analysis, you need to add an additional sounder module.

I'm not a super fan of accufish but I would really like to have bottom discrimination.
Is that true that it's not accurate with that trasnducer? Could someone help me understand how this setup works and what my best options are for optimal performance?

The internal sounder on the TZT10X is fine for connecting this transducer. However, the bottom discrimination and accu-fish function cannot use the 50/200 elements in this particular transducer. Another sounder module would not remedy this.

For bottom discrimination you would need one of these transducers connected to the transducer port on the rear of the TZT10X:
