Optimal DFF3D + CHIRP transducer for TZtouch3

Hi all,

I'm upgrading my Regulator 41 to a complete Furuno setup, based around TZtouch3 MFDs and all of the toys.

On my previous boat, I had the 165T-50/200-SS260 mounted. I'd like better bottom discrimination in my new setup. In a perfect world, I'd like better side scan.

It appears that the 165T/265LH-PM488-12P will give me what I need - DFF3D, high/low CHIRP. It doesn't appear to have sidescan (unless I'm missing something).

If that is true, I would need to add a 225T-PR904 into the mix.

Am I correct in this assumption? If so, would the wiring be 165T -> DFF3D + one TZT16F, and the 225T -> second TZT16F? Or is this complete overkill?

Thanks in advance!

The 225T-PR904 side scan pair (port and starboard) connect directly to the built-in sounder on one of the TZT16Fs which will put that internal sounder into side scan mode.

The 12-pin connector from the PM488 will connect directly to the other TZT16F and that internal sounder will be in chirp mode.

The DFF3D will be selectable on both MFDs as it is networked in. Also, the side scan and the dual frequency chirp will be selectable on either screen as well.
