AIS Target Names

I'm just getting used to TZT3, after upgrading from MFD8. It's a huge step forward!
But I can't find a way to display the ship name alongside the AIS target symbol.
Is this possible?

Yes, TZT3 is light years ahead of NN3D. Much simpler chart management and operations. I am glad to hear you are enjoying it.

OK. Now I understand (?)
The names disappear if you zoom out beyond 4 or 5 miles.
While this reduces clutter inshore with lots of targets on the screen, it is not so useful offshore.
A compromise, I suppose.

Yes it is a trade off but easy enough to zoom in if you need the name. If using the Furuno FM4800 or FM4850 you can just touch the AIS target to do direct calling to that target.
