Actual Sounder Transmission Power

When I look at the detailed configuration information on my TZT 3s, it correctly identifies the transducers as B175H and B175L. Per Airmar and the Furuno specifications, these are 1kW capable transducers.

However, the configuration says "600W" and thus makes it seem that the TZT 3 is not actually driving these transducers at their rated input power. The transducer setup was done automatically using TDID as noted and each TZT 3 shows the correct B175 H or L (one to each MFD).

Why is this and what does it mean? Am I not getting the full output power?

Good afternoon Quitsa,

Thank you for your inquiry.

We were able to connect a B175H transducer to the internal sounder for the TZT3. I cannot find where the system shows you 600w when using the TID feature. Below are some screen shots of the B175H connected to the TZT3. We configured the transducer 3 different ways using TID, Model, Manual.

When looking a the bottom echo during our test, each configuration showed a similar bottom return so i don't think there is a reduction of power, at least during our test.

Photo below shows the info using TID setup.

Photo below shows the setup by model number. When setup by model number the default transducer is 600w 520-5MSD. You need to manual select the correct transducer model, for this example we chose the B175H, which indicates 1kw.

If this is not what you seeing please post a photo or photos of your setup?

Thanks. My setup shows the B175H correctly identified. I was looking in the Service Manager sensor list. That's where I saw the 600W output. I have attached a photo of that screen. Down at the bottom you can see it says power 600W.
