Accu-Fish Display Size

What does The Accu-Fish Function on the Furuno units refer to ?
Size of Air Bladder "air" or the Echo return off the whole fish ?

Years ago when I had a CDT Furuno, different fish Echoed different.
The old timers could even tell you what kind of fish by the echo.
I decked handed along time ago and didnt think it was true until I was proven wrong..

There are many variables that go into fish sizing. Beam width, target depth, sounder TX rate and vessel speed are but a few. If the whole target has enough density change the total length should be measured.
