The rate at which a selected heading changes when rotating the course knob is very slow compared to my old 500 series. When doing a simple 20 degree turn you have to turn and turn the knob. Any way to increase the response of turning the knob?
Using the knob, it only changes it in 1 degree increments. You can program the left or right arrow keys to 5 degrees, 10 degrees(default), or dodge. You can make those adjustments within the "Installation menu" > "System Setup" > "Arrow Key".
That’s a bummer.. the rate knob is sluggish compared to my old 500 autopilot. Wonder if there is any way to increase its responsiveness with a software update?
