Hi all,

So with the 6/10 everything works, got a dff1 set it for vx2 have sounding but lost temp. Switched everything back to 6/10 then I get temp back.
Boat has a airmar b260. Any ideas?

Thanks
John

Ensure that you have the latest version of NAVnet vx2 software. It's possible the software on your display is prior to the DFF1 compatibility being added.

The transducer ports are wired the same on the ETR 6/10N (aka BBFF1) and the DFF1, so not quite sure what is different. Both use pins 4 & 7 as the two temperature wires. When you have the DFF1 connected to the VX2, can you change modes (dual frequency or single HF or LF)? Maybe the DFF1 isn't communicating with the VX2. You can also tell if the DFF1 Stby light goes solid green after about 3 minutes...that means it doesn't see a NAVnet. If it remains blinking after about 3 minutes or you can change modes, then it is communicating.

Sounder works really good in high and low can get as low as 1’, just the temp has - -. -
Did not know if there was a different setting or wire combo with dff1 v 6/10

Have to look at the light but I think it’s
communicating. The two 10.4s show the same scan of the bottom.

Please check to ensure not in demo mode...Menu-System Configuration-System Setup-Simulation Setup, ensure LIVE for Sounder

It is not in simulation mode. Tried it again 6/10 has temp dff1 does not. Dff definitely has a better scan of the bottom so it's working just no temp

I can only believe that there is something wrong with that specific DFF1. If you're fine without temp and like the bottom picture, then go with that.

Ok thank you sir found a known good one to test see if it's the dff or the transducer it self. Will report back, are the updates that are on your site pertaining to vx2 or just nn3d+ I will post the sn when I get the unit.

Ok so I got a second dff1 did a reset and same thing no temp, my next move is to get a AIR-033-270 Y and cable and a airmar T-80A temperature sensor. Doing some digging around online sounds like the b260 has a downfall on the temp sensor. I am starting to think the dff1 can't deal with what it putting out. When I was looking at settings on the rdp149 shows -40 degrees offset and still was reading about +10 high...

At least with the y cable I don't have to cut the transducer cable to test.

Will update when I get everything.
