Hi all
Just wondering if anyone had any info and the performance difference between a 295 and tzt3 with the DI-FFAMP running a 82b-35 2kw transducer. Currently own the 295 just looking at putting one display in the new boat. Fishing depths upto 600m any info would be greatly appreciated.

Good afternoon Jye90,

Thank you for your information.

With regards to your post, here in the USA we have sold very few CA82b-35R transducers in our market place so it is difficult to have an apples to apples comparison.

With regards to the DI-FFAMP and the CA82B-35R transducer it is only a single frequency transducer that is not designed for a Chirp TX Pulse, so when it is wired to the DI-FFAMP it would need to be used in a CW Mode which is the same as the FCV295. So we are not sure how much performance increase you would get over the FCV295.

One benefit of moving the transducer over to a MFD type of installation would be the other features associated with the TZT3: Like having high definition charts, using Sounder History, plotting out your fish catches and syncing those to the TZ Ecosystem including the the TZ Ecosystem Cloud. Using the TZT3 to get weather downloads for fishing applications like SST forecast, Altimetry, Chlorophyll, wind and waves. Also includes have the sounder display at other locations just by adding additional TZT3 MFD's.

Hi c-bass

Thanks for your reply. So I shouldn’t see a decrease in performance then. What transducer would you recommend I would say 80% of my fishing is done in deep water, would there be one more suited to sounding in deep water. Again thanks for your time.

Regards jye

To go deep we recommend:

Low Frequency: The lower the frequency the deeper you can go.
Power: Higher power with lower frequencies will get you deep.
