165T/265LH-PM488 DFF3D Wiring

If you are using the TZT3, you would normally order the 165T/256LH-PM488-12 that comes with the 12 pin connector designed for the TZT3 sounder. If you ordered the one without a 12 pin connector (designed for DFF1-UHD), then you will need a pigtail cable to wire on to the transducer. (TZ3-12P-PGT). The wire coloring is marked on the pigtail cable but should basically wire up color for color. When doing the setup in the TZT3, you would select the proper B265 elements in the setup.

CaptSteveT,
Unfortunately the 12p to 10p adaptor cable cannot be used. Internally the make up of this cable is different from that of the TZ3-12P-PGT cable.

So the 165T/265LH-PM488 needs to be returned /exchanged from the place of purchase for the 165T/265LH-PM488-12P version of the transducer, or the other option is to add the above TZ3-12P-PGT cable to the end of the cable.

I have the same set up, tzt3 with the pm488 165t/265lh, in the set up menu for the fish finder, which ducer do you use ? The b265lh? The pm488 165t 265lh is not listed - my guess is use the b265lh?

The 165T/265LH-PM488 8 wires up to the DFF3D and the remaining normal B265LH transducer would wire into the suitable sounder. In case of the -12P part number, it has the needed connection to directly connect to the TZT3 unit (12/16/19" units). When setting the TZT3 sounder, the B265LH is selected for transducer. (because that is what elements are inside that combo transducer)
