1623 Blown Fuse

I have a 1623 Radar, the 5 amp fuse blew, I replaced it and now it will not come on. I have tested and am geting 12+ volts and the end of the cable that plugs into the unit. Can I safely remove the radar dome cable to see if the fault is in the dome? What else can I try to determine where the fault is to save taking everything down? Thanks.

Yes.
I would recommend removing power from the unit and disconnecting ALL cables except for the power cable and see if the display will turn on. If it won't, please verify you have power directly to the back of the display (with a meter). If you have suitable power and the display doesn't turn on it should be evaluated for repair.

I have verified that I have power to the back of the unit, now I need to get it check by someone. Does anyone know if there is anyplace in Panama that can do this? Thanks mark
