Selecting and saving AIS contacts

I would find it helpful to select and save AIS contacts to like a friends list. Would be nice to know if you are near a friend.

The newer Multi Function Displays (MFDs) do have a AIS Buddies list. What MFD do you have?

On the TZT9/14/BB you can create an AIS/DSC Buddies List. You can refer to partner boats by adding a nickname so you can pick them out easier by seeing the nickname you have assigned to your buddies.
