GP 330B w/NMEA 0183 cable

I am replacing my original GPS 320B sensor with the GP 330B and new cable. Rather than reroute the new cable from the mast to the helm, I would like to splice the new NMEA cable to the existing one, keeping the original cable connected to the VX2 unit and the new one on the new GPS. Which wires colors do I splice together? Thanks

I do not recommend doing that for a variety of reasons.

However, if you wanted to proceed you can check the interconnect diagram in the back of the install manual for the Vx2. This will show pin numbers and colors. Then you could ohm our your new cable to see what matches. I would much rather see you run the new antenna on a new cable without compromising it.

To follow up, I spliced the wires from the GPS to the wires from the VX2 as follows:

White-Yellow
Blue-Green
Red-Red
Black-Black

Works great.
