FCV588 with Airmar B164

A friend has asked me for help configuring a B164-20 to a FCV588 (526TID-LTD/20) but we can't see the transducer listed in the installation menu. Also, is the temperature sensor compatible with the sounder. The 526TID-LTD/20 is listed as a valid transducer for all features except bottom discrimination - "This unit utilizes a 10-pin Transducer/Multisensor connection. These transducers enable all standard Fish Finder features including RezBoost, but DO NOT support Bottom Discrimination. To utilize the Bottom Discrimination mode of the FCV628, please select a transducer from the "Bottom Discrimination Transducers" list. " Please advise what should be the type selected in the menu for configuration.

It will support standard Rezboost but I don't think it rated for enhanced. You would pick the setting that says "1KW".

Thanks for the quick reply. Another quick question. Since the B164 has a temperature sensor how do we get the temperature displayed?

Turn on one of your data boxes and setup for SST (Sea Surface Temp).
