Where to mount pump and controller

I have a CC28 with twin yanmars
I’m doing a total electronic refit all Furuno TZT2 including a 711c ap with the powersteering moduale.
The vessel has two seastar steering stations. The Hynatics oil tank is aft on the starboard side about 6’ from the steering cylinder inside a fish box compartment, also in that hold is the trim tab pump. There’s not much room down there but I can get in there if I have to.
I’m wondering if I can mount everything in the lower helm and tap into the lower steering station. Does the pump make much noise. I look forward to your help.

The installation of any Furuno autopilot is dependent on what type of steering system you have on your boat and what type of autopilot you have selected.

What the diagram shows is where you can connect a reversing pump to a hydraulic steering system with a common two helm configuration. One possible drawback with placing the autopilot pumpset close to the steering position can be noise. Furuno pumps are the most silent in the market, but you may still here some pumpset noise when you travel at very low speed.

The Autopilot Processor can be mounted just about anywhere, as long as its in a dry location. I would recommend a location that is close to your wire runs for Power, NEMA Cabling, and Control Cables.
