In the diagram for WASSP F3 It shows a converter needed to convert NEMA 2000 to 0183 for the SC 30 to hook to the WASSP F3. What about the other equipment hooking to the DRX module? If I understand correct the DRX is 0183. LOOKING to go to WASSP F3 from DFF3D.

WASSP is a commercial product and not discussed normally on this forum. For WASSP specific assistance you want to contact your national distributor's technical support. CBass might be able to provide you a general answer to get you going from the DFF3D.

I am not a commercial fisherman. In the WASSP brochure The WASSP F3 unit is shown for sports fisherman and for fisherman who want to up the game of fishing. Perhaps you should change you thinking and learn your products.
My Question about WASSP F3 and side scan was not approved. I would think someone may answer my question who is operating an F3 unit.
I called Furuno in Washington state and was on hold for 25 minutes before I called back and left a message. I never got a return call. It is a shame that someone who wants to spend another 25 or30k can't get information or post a question on a Furuno forum about Furuno products. I guess I could always call NZ. Where they are made.

The WASSP F3 has one 0183, one RS422 and one RS232 port. The higher power F3X has one 0183, two RS422 and one RS232 port.

Thanks for the help!!!! Any idea if the Navionics chart that has WASSP data on it will show if loaded into other chart plotters. If I fish with a buddy on his boat?

WASSP doesn't load bottom data onto the Navionics charts. The bottom data is a separate file layer that is over laid.

You can create a data base within WASSP. The file extension given to these data bases is .g3maps. These data bases only contain the info that WASSP collects i.e. bottom detail, tracks and marks. Chart detail is separate. Now something about using Navionics charts with a WASSP computer is you just can't plug one in and expect it to display the chart. The computer must be connected to the internet the first time as every Navionics chart chip is encrypted with a code so it can't be copied. This registers the computer as a chart reader for
that chart chip. After the computer is registered it no long needs internet access.

Do you know what the advantages are for side scan that is used with WASSP F3. If the scan width or reach is the same. What would the side scan show that would be different than the regular beams of WASSP?
Thanks snips for your help.

I use the side scan view to reconfirm bottom hardness.
