wago connector for dff1-uhd question

I finally got my transducer installed (airman b265-lhc) and went to connect it to my dff1-uhd, and the wago connectors do not match anything in any of the manuals I have. I'm not sure how the wires go into these, and don't want to break them.

Can you tell me if the wires go into the numbered slots on the top of the connector, the top slot in the front, or the bottom slot in the front? And how do you get the wires in? I tried pushing them in, but no luck. I assume these require something like a paper clip to open it up, but again, i don't want to break them.

thanks
Joe

Offshore31,
The five place WAGO connector is labeled TB-4, it is for the TID and Temperature wires i.e. Shield 2, Orange 3, Brown 4 and White 5. I took a picture and labeled where the WAGO tool should be located. Page 10 in the op manual shows the WAGO tool and how to use it. Hope this helps.

thanks for the quick response. The manual I had showed the wago a completely different wago connector and tool. I suspect my manual is older than my unit. I'll see if the new online manuals show what you're describing

one more question. on tb-3, there's 2 drains. does it matter which shield (i.e. drain) i use in slot 3 and 6?

thanks
Joe

I pulled an online manual and see what you're saying regarding the wago connector. thanks

There are three shield wires. One with the Blue and Black, one with the blue/white, black/white and another with the orange, white, brown wire. The shield should stay with its associated wires I.E. the shield for the blue and black should go to pin 3.

thought i got the shield wires matched correctly, and all wires in their slots. however when i tried to set it up with my mfd14, the mfd14 kept rebooting. I eventually tracked it down to the orange xid wire. With that connected I can't get the mfd14 to run enough to do a setup. with that wire disconnected, i was able to set the transducer up by selecting b265lh. The only function that wasn't working was the temp.

so 2 questions
1) any idea what's going on with the xid connection?
2) is the xid required for the temp to work?

thanks again

offshore31,
The TID (orange wire) is not needed for temperature. If you don't have the orange wire connected is it probably best to also take the shield wire at is going to pin 2 of the TB4 connector and put it on one of the cable clamp screws.

Thanks snips. i'll give that a try. don't care if xid works as long as the xducer is working to spec. would like surface temp too
