VX2 position problem

I have just purchased a 10" VX2 CMap Ser No 4325-7362.
I want to add it to an existing single screen system that is currently working OK.
When connected to a furuno gps and heading sensor but no radar to test the unit, on screen position is locked onto a position off the East coast of USA.... I am in Australia.
Any Ideas that might help me?
Cheers

Hello robjl,

Are you just testing it but will have two NavNet VX2 display network together? For testing purpose, make sure that you have the right gps antenna (GP320B also known as BBWGPS) plugged directly into data port 1. Once you have confirmed it, have the unit turned on, select Menu, System Configuration, Nav Option, Nav Source Settings and make sure that the Position Source is set to Furuno BB GPS. If that’s correct, then from that same menu select return once then select GPS Sensor Setting, on the right-hand side soft key select GPS Status and make sure that you are receiving a lot of good strong satellite. If any changes made after the steps above, cycle the power and see if it starts to pick up the correct position after fully booted up.

Thanks for the quick reply but while waiting I thought of a possibility... could some-one have put it in demo mode.. sure enough that was the problem.
All OK now except for an update.
Thanks.

Hello robjl,

I was going to suggest that next to make sure that it wasn't in SIM mode. Glad it was a quick easy solution.
