Using a KVH Azimuth 1000 Compass for Heading Data on an 1835

I was told by my electronics salesman that I could use the KHV compass to provide heading data for an 1835 radar by NMEA 0183 through the heading port. I have wired them up and so far no success. I assume that I use the green and yellow wires from the six pin cable for the RX? The unit is a 1835, serial number 4372-0677.

Referring to the installation manual on page S-1, it shows NMEA 0183 heading input colors as WHITE (+) and BLACK (-) wires. If you change over to those wires it most likely would function for you.

Thanks for the quick reply... I actually found the schematic the night after I posted and figured it out. Up snd running well.
