TZtouch3 radar overlay

I have a new tztouch3 and DRS4D-NXT. Both are working great but radar overlay doesn't seem to be working. I don't have a compass or autopilot connected. Should radar overlay work when I'm underway and I have a heading only from the MFDs gps data?

No, you MUST have real heading data or radar overlay. COG is not a substitute.
