TZtouch2 multi-cable extension

What type/size of wire do you suggest I use to extend the blue and white conductors of the multi-cable and what type of connection (soldered?)

What size is each conductor on the muticable (other than very small)?

Do you have any type of quick-connect you can recommend which would allow me to disconnect and remove the plotter without having to undo hard wired connections of the multi-cable? I am only using the blue and white conductors.

The wire is roughly 22 gage. There are many off the shelf options to use for quick disconnect and other than getting one that is water proof; I have no preference of one over any other. Soldering is almost always the best option when dealing with connections.
