TZ2 POWER UP/ TRANSDUCER

Finally upgrading to a tz2.MFD. and a b260 thru hull with fairing block. I currently have a fcv 587 with a ca50b-6g transducer pocket mounted in the hull.Would like to use both machines. My question is : When the tz2 is powered up would the transducer also be powered up even though it is in another mode, ie chartplotter? Does the transducer remain on, and always firing at 50/200.untill the reciever tells it what to do? Would i be able to run my 587 sounder with ca50B and the tz2 chartplotter? or will the tz2 transducer be on and at 50khz. interfere with each other. thanks in advance..

Unless you put the TZT2's internal sounder into a Stand-by mode it is always transmitting no matter what display (plotter, radar, weather, etc) is showing.
