Twin screens - different chart option?

Twin tzt3 12”.
I am running twin tzt3 screens, I have set my left as the master. Shouldn’t both mfd’s display the same chart options? Mine are different.

Yes if they have the same chart card loaded in the back of them and you have entered the unlock code to both of them for any licenced charts. If they are diffrent, then you chart cards are most likely diffrent.

They were purchased at same time from same vendor... installed at same time, why different charts? Can I put the left chart into the back of right mfd? If I download a CMOR chart on the master, will it only be available on the master side? I thought I could view either chart on both?

Yes, you can swap the chart cards to see what changes. That is a very good idea. Ideally they should be the same but the dealer might have had some older stock with new or maybe you have a chart card that is going bad or needs reseated. Besure you don't have your FILTER turned on for the listing because maybe the last time someone was in the Catalog they put a filter on. Maybe there is more there than you think but it is being filtered.

I thought the filter too but that’s not it either. I’ll try moving the sd card, will that then disable the one I take it out of? Is there a sequence or settings I need to do when I insert the new card?

You should only insert or remove a chart card while the unit is off. If you swap between the two units, each unit should have the charts that the other one did previously. For example if the left unit is missing a particular chart that the right one has, when you swap them; the left unit will show that chart and the right one will not. You can also put the cards into a PC and compare files to see what is diffrent between the two cards.

Apparantly it was in the sequence of turning on, if I turn the left one on (master mfd) all is good, if I turn on the right one first, no good.

One new question, I know I saw this before but is there a way to view a chart detail online and see if it has what I am looking for before buying? Or can i discuss with somwone what I am looking for and confirm the chart has it?

I wish but there is no preview page. Normally if you want to consider an area, I recommend opening a support case with tech support and provide a Lat/Lon where you would like some screen captures from and they can send you some examples.
