TM 258 vs TM 260

I have a 585 running a TM 258. I acquired a TM 260 and am wondering if there is any real benefit in installing the TM 260. Bottom fishing to 200 feet, Salmon trolling to 300' and an occasional tuna trip into the deep water up to 1500'. Normally we are only looking at the surface to 200' range. It is not a big deal to change it out, concerned that there may be a learning curve and not enough benefit to justify doing this. I plan to buy a FCV 800 if the 585 ever quits but it has been solid for years and I just have not seen the need at this point.

If you like your current performance, that's a good reason to stay with what you have. Keep the TM260 as a backup.
I personally prefer the 258. I only fish up to 200', typically.
The 258 has a SLIGHTLY higher sensitivity on the high frequency.
The 260 is much more sensitive on low frequency.
