have a navnet3d with m260 and DFF1 sounder , was trolling at 160ft suddenly it went to 40ft showing on display, now even in marina depth is jumping from 3ft to 300ft, specialy when set to auto depth.
tried a other transducer but no change,,,,
please advise....

Is the fluid in the M260 fully serviced?
The transducer you tried was also an in-hull? I would recommend trying a thru hull or TM over the edge of the boat to bypass both your existing transducer and boat hull.

Fluid is full
I did try a tm transducer, all the same, I tried getting the gain down, and playing with the clutter, nothing
When I unplugged the m260 I restarted before I plugged in the transom mount and it was already showing 200ft..

Factory reset the sounder and if still has problems, sent it to your dealer or distributor for testing.
