Sounder Transmit directly from screen?

Hi: I have a DFF1 networked to my TZT14. Is the only way to turn the sounder on/off to go into Menu/Sounder/Transmit ON/OFF? Or is it possible to do this directly from the sounder screen itself?

tks

When you're on the sounder screen, it might be a short press or a long press on the roto knob, then the menu should come up from the right hand side, go towards the bottom of the menu and TX/STANDBY will be there.

Not with DFF1 and the TZT series one, that I can find. If you use the DFF3D with the TZT series one there is one. TZT2 and TZT3 do have a way but strangely enough; TZT1 only has it in the menu settings. I think Kicker is thinking of the DFF3D.

You are right Johnny: there is no long/short rotokey option, just standard. And the bottom rotokey entry is DISPLAY, from which you can choose MENU...which then takes you to the last menu used, not directly to SOUNDER. So you go to SOUNDER, then find Tx. It is a bit clumsy actually.

Could we put this on the list of suggested software changes to be considered in a future update? It may be easy to do and would certainly be helpful.

tks

We can ask but the TZT series one is a fully developed product now. They do have an update coming but typically we find this late in the game, changes like this have a slim chance. I have passed it on to product development.

This is something I've wanted for a long time but don't think it's likely to happen. It would be nice if you guys do put in a request to add this feature.

With the TZT3 out I'm beginning to feel the cooler air as us TZT owners begin the long troll to the marlin in the sky. That said, I'd buy a TZT3 9" tomorrow if it were available and a drop-in replacement for the TZT9 :wink7

Although it's not too bad now, as I read more about new features being added to software V7, it will eventually start bugging me to be stuck in the software V6 world. I'm extremely hopeful that development of the TZT3 9" is seriously underway. And I'll bet the TZT3 can turn a DFF1 Tx ON/OFF on the screen, just like the TZT2 does.

I can ask but the more fully developed products are less likely these little changes approved. They have so much time and have to pick which fish they want to fry. TZT2 has a major software change coming with V7 and that is too far along to add anything to it now. With the development plans of TZT3; TZT2 is considered a fully developed product. I will ask but not sure if we will see it come or not. They typically put these things on the "wish" list. The best time to request changes is in the first year or so of a product release. Right now is the time to be putting suggestions in for the TZT3 (in the suggestion topic area).

Thanks Johnny, I'll put up a post requesting development of the TZT3 9". I'm also going to put up a post regarding a spot on my screen of the TZT.
