Sounder issues

Ok so talked with repair department today and they said the Dff1 seems to be testing ok? Going to leave it hooked up over night and contact me tomorrow with results. What else could be causing this problem I am having? The transfucer is brand new and it is clicking and I get a bottom return just not in deeper water. On low frequency the return was really crappy in any depth it had to be on high frequency to even give a solid return . What else could be the problem this is not what I was expecting at all.

It sounds like the transducer might have a problem. You might want to have it tested with the Airmar Transducer tester. Many dealers now have that tester and it can record the data to help with any warrantee claim.

So what the game plan is now, I need to get the dff1 back and installed and carry the boat to Martek in Ocean City Maryland which is right up the road for me. They have a tester that they can use and to test this transducer. Leave it to me to get a bad transducer out the box. Will keep posted on out come
