Shared GPS signal from VX2 and VX1

So i have side by side VX2 and a VX1. I have two seperate sounders and two seperate black boxes. But one GPS receiver that only goes into the VX2. I have ordered a data cable to run between the two machines but is there anything that i need to do in set up to get the GPS signal to be shared between the two?

They need to be configured so they are not on the same IP address and then setup the "output thru network" on the GPS unit to send GPS data over the network to the other. (GGA, VTG, ZDA sentences)
