self-leveling and SCX20

I am looking at getting the SCX20. I currently have a. DRS4D on a self leveling mount on the mast. (sailboat). I have a (not yet installed) TZT10X I am worried about the heave compensation features of the SCX20? Presumably this works by using the compasses location in space to calculate the radars location in space, and then offsetting the data accordingly. However won't the self leveleing mount mess this up?

The SCX20 has to pitch and roll and yaw with the boat. Yes, a self-leveling mount would mess up the calculations.
