SCX20 or 21?

Hi, I currently have a FCV800 and GP1971F that I’m going to connect together with their NMEA0183 wiring in the existing power cables.

My questions are, can I connect the sat compass to the FCV800 via NMEA2000 and have it work at the same time as the two units are connected together via 183?

Can I just use a DTM plug to connect the two NMEA0183 harnesses together?

You can connect the SCX20, FCV800 and GP1971F to a NMEA2000 backbone and the FCV800 and GP1971F would receive heading and GPS information. Nothing would be connected via NMEA0183 in this case.

Thanks for the reply, that’s what I thought too, I’ll order the NMEA2000 cables!
