SCX-20 and FA-70 Upgrade

Hi Team

For our sailboat we are upgrading to a FA-70 AIS transponder and a SCX-20 satellite compass.

My question is can I directly connect the SCX-20 to the FA-70 as the AIS antenna as per the legislation for a direct antenna? And does the FA-70 pass through all the SCX-20 PGN's onto the NMEA 2000 network?

No, the FA70 must use the coaxal antenna that comes with it for it to function.
