SC-30 won’t update

Downloaded the accessories update bundle for TZT. The DFF1 updated fine with this card but the SC-30 won’t take. It apparently sees the file and starts the update but it fails “update file not found”. TZT14 is on the latest software and everything else works. Tried two cards and two different computers to download from. Need some help here.

Have you tried using the Network SENSOR UPDATE file from the parent company at www.Furuno.com? (Support - Software download) It should have worked with Furuno USA's software but using the larger package from the parent company might be better in this case. At least it is worth a try.

Unfortunately that’s the file I was using. The Furuno USA page doesn’t even have the software update listed for the TZT.

I also found this source but the software listed here is v3.02 and thus won’t fix the reason I need to update (GPS rollover).

Are there any other options? Can someone perhaps email me a different file to try? Hate to send this giant thing all the way to Washington state for an update.

The Sensor update using the TZT/TZT2/TZT3 that you tried normally works well. It could be your unit has an issue that should be looked at. It can be updated by PC via the IF-NMEASC if that is connected or using a maintenance cable. Many dealers have cables and offer onsite service. Being it didn't update, it might not update by PC either; but it is worth a try. The software and instructions are posted on the Furuno USA website, otherwise sending it in to the service center would be the next option.
