saving tracks

I have been trying to solve this question both by searching my TZT and Google. Can't seem to find a definative answer. I am coming from a Raymarine C120 Classic. It allowed me to save and store numerous tracks by name and color.

I cannot for the life of me figure out how to store the one long track on my chartplotter and start a new one. From reading some of the questions/answers here I may appear that I have to save it as a route? Is this correct?

No you can also save tracks. (HOME - MENU - FILES - EXPORT TRACKS) The key is you can't export a track that you are currently recording so you must stop track recording, then export.
