This by placing a C-Map NT Max card. but it doesn't read it to me, it got the test, it doesn't tell me OK in CARD SLOT but it doesn't recognize it.

What can I do in this case?

I would say it isn't really an "update" that is needed but a "conversion". The "23" in your current programming indicates the unit is programmed for Navionics chips not C-map. C-map programming will have a "24" there. You are running 4.01 Navionics. If you wish to run C-map, you would need to contract Tech Support directly because conversion software isn't posted publicly due to the dangers of mis programming the incorrect unit. They will need to know if this unit is a CCFL LCD or an LED backlit LCD unit. It would be best to provide them your serial number to ensure you get the correct software needed to convert your Navionics unit to C-map.
