Repeater Display for TZT3?

So here is my question, can you hook up a simple display "repeater" panel for the TZT3?
I need a display that I can setup when using the flybridge, not to leave installed. But I really don't need to spend $3k-4k for an entire new TZT, I don't need all the functionality, just the display for the flybridge. Is this possible?

I have not considered that, didn't know anything about it.
I use an iPAD for aviation software and it works great, was unaware that I could send my Furuno data to an ipad. Where does the ipad app get the data from? Does it come from the TZT3? Bluetooth? Wifi? Cell?
I will start some research on the APP - what is it called?

I have one of my displays from my flybridge output to my salon TV downstairs through HDMI. I am using a HDMI to CAT5 back to HDMI since it was much easier to pull the CAT5 cable downstairs. Could possibly find an IP 67 rated screen to do the same thing.

Another option would be to go with the TZT9F display. MSRP is ~$2500 on that and it would give you full functionality of the system.

Thanks GT I considered the option of the 9" but that only saves me about $500, not worth it... I do like the idea of a separate display of some sort, or an ipad is even better yet, especially if I can walk around with it to any location in the boat.

There is a number of NavNet apps in the Appstore. NavNet-remote displays what's on the screen of the MFD and also allows you to control it via the iPad screen. NavNet viewer allows you to view a choice of things and these can be different from what is displayed on the MFD, but no control. And then there is NavNet remote, which gives you remote control for the MFD.

One down side I feel, is that you need to have the MFD off your local router and running its own WiFi net and you need to connect the iPad that MFD, giving up the WiFi internet access of the iPad for the time being. It would be much better if all would connect via your local router, this way you almost need a dedicated iPad.

I have read on here where people have mounted a TV and mount a MCU004 . then you can control the main TZT unit while watching the TV screen in a different location.

I would like to add a secondary display outside of the cabin, viewable in the sunlight and be able to take the abuse from the saltwater environment. I thought about adding another TZ unit, but the depth will not allow for it in the location I want to mount it. Looking for something in the 12"-20" size. Any recommendations? Any feedback on the Xenarc stuff?
