RDP149 NavNet Vx2 with dark spot on the screen

I have a RDP149 NavNet Vx2 that was unused on a boat for a long time and was exposed to the sun without protection. After that time, the equipment was turned on and had a dark spot on the display. I would like to know if it is possible to change only this screen or should I buy new equipment?

There are several dealers in FL that can rebuild the screen with after market parts. Depending on the age, the Furuno service center might have an OEM panel but it is very costly and most go with the after market option. If you can find a used unit in good shape sometimes that is the better deal leaving you with some extra parts.
