Are there parts available to replace a dark or sun damaged screen?

I may buy the unit depending on whether I need to pay shop time to update.

The unit has the most current C-map software.
There is no new replacement LCD for this March 2010 unit but used units can normally be found at a much lower price point than repairing. One Ad on e-bay claims RDP148 screen replacement for $270. I think there are many offering repairs using aftermarket LCDs on these units.
