Will a new 4D C-map chart in SD form work in my older RDP-149?

NO, the Vx2 can only use the C-map MAX type of charts.

If you're looking for C-MAP charts, the best method to see what's available is to use C-MAP's Chart finder: https://www.c-map.com/search-charts

Input the desired location, "FURUNO" for brand, Chart plotter model (e.g. NavnetVX2 1834C/NT), Chart type (e.g. "Max"), and Coverage (e.g. "Wide") and press search and use the map to zero in on the chart product SKU. Than contact your local Authorized C-Map dealer for ordering details.
