RDP 149 external GPS source

Hi there. I have an FCV 588 that I want to be able to use the mark function on and drop the waypoints onto my plotter. Unfortunately the plotter I have is a Navman 8120 which doesn’t accept TLL. I am using a Raymarine e7 as an MFD for my engine / fuel data display and have successfully used the GPS output from this unit to feed the FCV 588 GPS data and am able to save the waypoints on the FCV 588 when I hit mark (I have a nmea network with 2K and 0183 converters). Again, unfortunately, the e7 won’t accept TLL. I can get an RDP 149 unit (which will fit neatly enough in flush mount space of Navman and uses the same chart cards!) but it doesn’t have the GPS aerial with it. I have two questions...
1. Will I be able to use the GPS output from e7 to feed into RDP 149 unit to end up with a chart plotter and if so how? Via NMEA 0183 I gather?
2. If this is possible, am I able to link the FCV 588 and RDP 149 (again via NMEA 0183?) and would I then be able to see the marked waypoints from the FCV 588 on the chart plotter?

Hope all this makes sense!!

Mim,
I will double check, but I don't think that the RDP149 will accept an external TLL input.

If the RDP-149 is connected to a DFF1 and you push the TLL button on the sounder page it will put a mark on the plotter page. But all this is done internal in the RDP-149.

Thanks Snips. I think I may just have to manually input any captured waypoints into Navman for the few times I am likely to need to. I am very happy with the Navman as a plotter...a shame it can’t capture external waypoints. :-(
Appreciate the prompt reply Snips.
