Have a DRS12A attached to a TZT2BB black box. I have installed the radar update TZT2bb. It takes over an hour for the radar to start acting right. The alarm comes on and then off several times as if something is heating up. Targets are very dim and does not pick up birds. Is it time for a new one and what can you suggest.

Can you post a picture of sensor list so we can verify the software versions?
Can you let us know the standby and transmit hours?
Can you post a pic of the radar monitor page from the menu under radar settings while transmitting?
Can you post a picture of the radar image using auto gain, auto sea, and manual rain 0?
Can you make a better picture with manual settings? If so, post a pic of the image and those settings.

Software should be 1.16 or higher for the DRS12A
If it is getting so bad that its showing nothing and has an intermittent video alarm, it might be time to send it in for an evaluation. The repair center can give you an estimate or repair cost. Then you can decide to repair or replace.
