Our DRS12A has quit reading beyond a couple of miles. We reset it and it worked for a day of so, then reverted back to just reading 2+/- miles. Have not been able to find a repair dealer for any help.

If it is the magnetron, what would be a range to have it repaired/replaced. Trying to weigh the repair costs to a total new system.

I have
i have located an array unit, RSB-0072. Can this be used in place of the DRS 12A? If so, what are differences?

To replace the magnetron on a DRS12A breaks down as follows:
Parts: MSRP is $995 for the magnetron + travel time + Labor

The RSB0072 cannot be used in place of a DRS12A. The RSB0072 has to interface to a RADAR Display Processor (RDP), while the DRS12A is Ethernet interfacing which can ne connected to several compatible MFDs.
