Hello everyone,
I’m hoping to get some help. A friend recently gave me a Furuno FCV-688 fish finder. I realize this is an older unit, but I’ve come across some research and discussions showing that commercial fish finders can sometimes output echo-related data, similar to what is shown in the attached image. From what I understand, this data appears to be in NMEA 0183 format.
My main interest is in accessing or exporting the echo data, rather than just basic navigation information.
My questions are:
Does the FCV-688 support any form of echo data output?
If it does, what type of data is available and how would I go about accessing it?
Any guidance or clarification would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your help.
