Problem importing waypoints

Imported from Hummingbird in GPX format. Looking to import them to my new TZTxl. When I put the SD card in the slot and select import data I'm am told no data found. Do I need to convert to something else now?
Just picked up the unit today.
Thanks

To import into the TZTXL copy the *.gpx file onto the root directory of a memory stick formatted FAT32. All data in/out is through the USB port on the back of the unit.
To make it more convenient you could connect a waterproof USB bulkhead connection, so you don't have to access the rear to complete file operations

So looking at the back of my unit I see a USB2 that is too small to take my memory stick. There is a USB1 but apparently my external remote control is plugged into that spot. I'm guessing I can unplug that and put my memory stick in there to import my way points. I'm curious how I utilize that usb2 port ? in the future. What type of connector is that?

Ok my usb 1 port wasn’t being used. I was able to upload my waypoints and routes.
