Planning on adding another transducer

I currently have a TZT12f, I have a side scan transducer run directly to that. I also have a B744v that is run thru a BBDS1. I’m mostly fishing in 100’-200’ of water in the gulf. Primarily bottom fishing.

I’m planning on adding a M265LH transducer, for now I’ll disconnect and run this to the TZT. Will I be able to use the accu fish and bottom discrimination like I do now with the B744v and also use the high chirp on the m265lh on a split screen?

I don’t use the side scan, probably should work on that, but may add another screen or box later to be able to.

Regardless if you remove side-scan and add the B265LH, it will not allow bottom discrimination. For the 12F and newer sounders like the UHD+ only selected C/W transducers offer the BD function. You of course have that ability via the BBDS1 with the B774V.

No but you could have two MFDs side by side and run one sounder like the BBDS1 on one MFD while running the B265LH on the other. You can only have one sounder selected on a single MFD. While it is possible to have one side-scan, one DFF3D, and one fish finder shown on one single MFD (in a split screen) it is not possible to have two fish finders on one MFD at the exact same time.

I’d like to add another MFD, but I’m limited to space, and of coarse the cost. I’m looking at maybe adding the 9” TZ Map. Then I could have sidescan and the b744 on that. At least I think that would work. I know it won’t network.

But for now, I’m still a little confused and I don’t have the M265 installed yet.

Will I be able to remove my sidescan transducer and use that port for the 265lh, and then toggle between the transducers, just not have them displayed at the same time?

You lost me a bit. You're asking if you remove the side-scan transducer from the TZT12F and use the B265LH? Yes, you could do that and toggle between the internal sounder with the B265LH and the external BBDS1 with the B774V. You can't see them both on screen at once using just that one display but you can go to the fish finder source and change sources anytime you wish.
